JCR & MCR

Junior Common Room (JCR)

Undergraduate students at St Hugh’s are members of the Junior Common Room (JCR). The JCR is both a physical space in College, which undergraduates are welcome to use, as well as a term which refers to the whole body of undergraduates who are current students of the College. Middle Common Room (MCR)

Postgraduate students at St Hugh’s are members of the Middle Common Room (MCR). The MCR refers both to the body of postgraduate students affiliated with St Hugh’s and to the physical space available for their use in the Graduate Centre, at 87 Banbury Road. Student representation

The College has several important committees that advise on distinct aspects of College life and functioning. Student representatives from the JCR and MCR are invited to attend these, as well as the three termly meetings of the College’s Governing Body. If you would like to raise matters for consideration at a committee, please contact your respective JCR or MCR representatives.
