Pierre Tarrès works on self-interacting random processes (especially reinforced random walks) and stochastic algorithms, and their relationship with dynamical systems. The approach is purely mathematical, but the subject relates to economics with the study of reinforcement learning in game theory, and to statistical learning.
He teaches pure mathematics for undergraduates of the College and St Catherine's College, and is a University Lecturer in the Mathematical Institute.
