All students are issued with a University Card, which you will need to open doors in College – so keep it with you at all times.
You should use your card regularly (at least once a month) on a silver card reader to keep your card active. These are located mainly on the external entrances into College.
Make sure to always hold your card on the reader until the light goes green – this makes sure that your card is correctly updated.
If you have recently checked-in at the lodge, it can sometimes take a few minutes for the system to update, so if you are having difficulty accessing your room, update your card again on the main entrance door and try again.
