Avril Bruten Award for Creative Writing celebration event

We are delighted to be celebrating the annual Avril Bruten Award for Creative Writing next week. There were over twenty entries this year for the Award, from students right across the College.

On Wednesday 26 April, at 5.15–6.45pm in the Maplethorpe Building, we will hear the shortlisted students read from their work. This year’s judge, the celebrated poet Seni Seneviratne, will perform some of her recent poetry, and announce the winner. We will also hear some of Avril Bruten’s poems read aloud. Students, staff and alumni are all very welcome.
