A History of the Infinite

The infinite is one of the most important of all philosophical topics. The series of lectures will trace the history of thought about the infinite during the last two and a half thousand years from the perspective of the infinite in philosophical terms, in theological terms, in scientific terms, and in mathematical terms.

St Hugh’s College alumni are warmly invited to attend Prof. Moore’s lectures as part of the Beijing Normal University’s Foreign Philosophy Forum. He will be giving four lectures at the end of October and start of November. Details of each lecture can be found below.
