Professor George Garnett speaks to Talk Radio Europe

St Hugh’s Fellow Professor George Garnett has been interviewed by Talk Radio Europe.

He was speaking to the English-language Spanish station about ‘Dare unchaperoned to gaze’: A Woman’s View of Edwardian Oxford, the diary of Dorothy Hammonds and Margaret Mowll that he edited.

They began keeping the diary in Michaelmas Term 1905 and through it the modern reader can see Oxford, and the University, from the perspective of these two sharp and witty young women.
