If you wish to join the waiting list for accommodation at St Hugh’s, contact the Accommodation Office (accommodation.manager@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk)
Please note we are not able to offer accommodation for families or couples.
Priority for accommodation allocations
Please note that there can be no guarantee of accommodation and the number of rooms available is limited. The usual system of priority will be used to determine which new graduates can be offered a room (highest to lowest), and which graduates will be placed on the waiting list:
- Graduates with health, disability or welfare needs
- Overseas graduates
- Overseas graduates from outside the EU who have not lived in the UK
- Overseas graduates from the EU who have not lived in the UK
- Overseas graduates who have lived in the UK
- UK non-Oxford graduates
- All other graduates
As usual, there will be a second (smaller) round of accommodation allocations at the end of the summer for those who are not able to complete their Financial Declarations before the first deadline.
We would not recommend just applying for St Hugh’s accommodation as we are always oversubscribed. Listed below are some of our recommendations for alternative housing options:
- Collegiate Accommodation Support Service (CASS): https://estates.admin.ox.ac.uk/collegiate-accommodation-support-service-cass
- Graduate Accommodation Office: admin.ox.ac.uk/graduateaccommodation(although we are aware that they are also operating a waiting list now.
- OxGradHousing Facebook Group: facebook.com/groups/160632823948859
- Daily Info (Oxford listings): https://www.dailyinfo.co.uk/rooms-to-let
- Spareroom (https://www.spareroom.co.uk/) and Rightmove (https://www.rightmove.co.uk/) which are available nationally, are also very active in Oxford.
- Private student halls in Oxford e.g. Cambridge Terrace (https://www.unilodgers.com/uk/oxford/cambridge-terrace) and Alice House (https://www.iqstudentaccommodation.com/oxford/alice-house?year=2021-22).
