St Hugh’s celebrates 50th anniversary of Sobell House Hospice

We were delighted to be able to show our support for Sobell House Hospice by celebrating their 50th anniversary of care by illuminating the front of College with a spectacular light projection. Sobell House Hospice opened its first hospice in the UK in May 1976 and now cares for over 4,500 people a year. The charity provides over £3 million a year to help fund this vital service.

To mark 50 years of care, they are inviting people to join their 50 for 50 fundraiser – simply pick any activity inspired by the number 50, like walking 50 miles, baking 50 cakes, singing with 50 people, swimming 50 laps, or host a 50-question quiz. If you would like to take part in their fund-raising event please click here for more information.
