Alumni Garden Party brings St Hugh’s community together

St Hugh’s was delighted to welcome over 400 guests including alumni, family members and friends to this year’s Alumni Garden Party for a wonderful afternoon of reconnecting, relaxation and family fun in the College gardens.

Guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea, with every sandwich, scone and cake freshly prepared in-house by the College’s talented catering team. The afternoon also featured a wide range of entertainment and activities, including a live jazz band, circus skills workshops, a roaming clown, crazy golf and traditional garden games, ensuring there was something for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The ever-popular complimentary ice cream proved to be a particular highlight, with two ice cream vans serving an impressive 402 ice creams in 2 hours!

The event was made possible by the support of a fantastic team of student helpers, who welcomed guests, assisted with activities and helped ensure the day ran smoothly. It was wonderful to see current students chatting with alumni, hearing their stories and helping to create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes the St Hugh’s community so special.

The Garden Party provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni spanning an amazing 7 decades, together with their partners, children and grandchildren, to return to St Hugh’s, reconnect with friends
and enjoy exploring the beautiful College gardens.

And we’ll do it all again next year!
