Blades for St Hugh’s Boat Club in Torpids 2016

St Hugh’s Boat Club have been celebrating a successful week in Torpids 2016, with three crews securing ‘Blades.’

St Hugh’s entered four crews into the tournament, an event which is based on crews chasing one another along the River Isis in an effort to catch up and ‘bump’ the boat ahead. Crews race over four days to move up the Divisions and those who succeed in bumping each day, are awarded Blades.  This is a wonderful achievement, and reflects months and months of hard work and training on the part of the crews.  Well done and congratulations to all students (and coaches) who were involved!
