Congratulations to Gill Aitken on her appointment as Registrar of the University of Oxford!

St Hugh’s alumna Gill Aitken (Philosophy and Theology, 1979) will take up the position of Registrar of the University of Oxford in September.

She is currently Director General and General Counsel at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, and previously held leadership positions in the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The Rt Hon Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC FRSE, Principal of St Hugh’s, has offered her congratulations on behalf of the Fellows and students of the College.
