New Years Honours: Sir David Verey CBE

New Year Honours 2015. David Verey, CBE, a banker and philanthropist, and Honorary Fellow of St Hugh’s College, was knighted for services to arts philanthropy as chair of the Art Fund.

Sir David Verey has an extensive background in business, the arts and media. He has served as a trustee and Chairman at Tate, and was chair of the Art Fund for 10 years, stepping down in July 2014.
