Dr Anna Wilmore is Stipendiary Lecturer in German at St Hugh’s and St Anne’s College, having previously held a similar position at Somerville. She is a medievalist by training, having completed her doctorate in 2023 on Medieval Marian Lyric in Urban Spaces, a comparative project focusing on medieval French and German poetry about the Virgin Mary in towns and cities in the late Middle Ages, exploring the relationship between the Virgin, the city, and poetic forms.
Anna teaches prelims and finals papers in medieval German literature as well as translation into English and the first-year literature course.
