St Hugh’s Elizabeth Wordsworth Fellows appointed to the Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors

We are delighted to announce that St Hugh’s College Elizabeth Wordsworth Fellows, Eddy and Emily Tang have been appointed as members of the Chancellors Court of Benefactors, in recognition of their exceptional philanthropic benefactions to the collegiate University which are making a long-lasting difference to a multitude of academic priorities within the College.
Eddy and Emily were inducted by the Vice Chancellor into the Court at a special formal ceremony of admission which took place on Thursday 10 October 2024 in the Convening Hall at Rhodes House, and were joined by St Hugh’s Principal, Lady Elish Angiolini and St Hugh’s Elizabeth Wordsworth Fellows and members of the Chancellors Court of Benefactors, Henry and Joanna Chan.
Eddy and Emily have provided substantial support to improve the student experience at St Hugh’s College through accommodation renovations and sustainability enhancements of the Howard Piper Library, for which were are extremely grateful.
The Court meets twice a year, at special events in Oxford and in London, and offers benefactors the chance to engage with the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and other senior leaders, within the collegiate University. These meetings also allow benefactors to meet other members of the Court and to gain a greater understanding of the life and work of the University and the colleges.
