St Hugh’s students part of winning team at Rugby Bowl Final

Congratulations to St Hugh’s rugby players who, in partnership with LMH, Trinity and Catz (The Saints), won against a combined St John’s and St Anne’s side in the 2026 Oxford Rugby Men’s Bowl Final – Oxford’s premier college rugby knockout competition, on Saturday 9 May at Iffley Road Sports Stadium.

After a hard-fought opening spell, the Saints team broke through to score three tries before half-time, taking a 21-0 lead into the half-time break. The team then found its rhythm in the second half, playing fast, flowing rugby to secure a brilliant 59-0 victory.

The Bowl competition is part of the Oxford Cuppers tournament and acts as a knock-out competition for the second tier of college teams, offering a chance of silverware for teams that are knocked out earlier in the tournament.
