St Hugh’s welcomes alumni to jubilee celebration

On Sunday 21 September, we were delighted to welcome back alumni who matriculated in 1975, 1965, 1955, and even earlier for our annual Jubilee Lunch.

It was a wonderful day, made all the more enjoyable by glorious sunshine throughout. Guests were treated to a guided tour of the College gardens, expertly led by our Gardens team, during which they were able to sample some of the edible plants.

Before lunch, year group photos were taken in the sun, followed by a relaxed drinks reception. As always, the lunch itself was outstanding, and our Senior Tutor, Professor Robert Vilain, gave a speech expressing the College’s gratitude for the continued support of our alumni community.

We were also pleased to be joined by St Hugh’s new Principal, Michele Acton, who said that she very much enjoyed hearing about the alumni’s experiences at the College and the stories that they told.

We look forward to hosting this special event again next year. If you matriculated in 1976, 1966 or 1956, keep an eye out for your invitation – we’d be thrilled to welcome you back.
