A celebration of Philosophy at St Hugh’s College

To mark the retirement of St Hugh’s Tutorial Fellow in Philosophy, Professor Adrian Moore, we are holding a special Celebration of Philosophy on Saturday 20 June, 10.30am-4.30pm, followed by drinks and dinner from 5.30pm. The event will include contributions from academic colleagues and former students, culminating in an ‘In Conversation’ with Adrian and Professor Nick Bunnin, Emeritus Director of the Philosophy Project, University of Oxford China Centre followed by an audience Q&A.

Over nearly 40 years of service to St Hugh’s, Adrian has played a central role in shaping the study of Philosophy at the College and in contributing to its intellectual and pastoral life. This event offers an opportunity to reflect on his legacy and on how Philosophy has evolved within the College over that time. The day will be a great opportunity to celebrate with Adrian, to catch up with friends, and to listen to and take part in interesting conversation and debate.
