Alumna Bridget Rosewell (Philosophy, Politics and Economics, 1970) recognised in the New Year Honours list

We would like to congratulate alumna Bridget Rosewell FRSA on the wonderful news that she has been awarded a CBE.

Bridget has served as Chair of the Independent Review into Planning Appeal Inquiries since June 2018 and is the Non-Executive Chair of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

She has had a stellar career since graduating from St Hugh’s in 1976 serving variously as a Senior Adviser at Volterra Partners, Chair of Audit for Network Rail, and as a Commissioner on the National Infrastructure Commission.

From 2009 to 2012 she was the Consultant Chief Economic Adviser to the Greater London Authority, and before that, from 2002 until 2008, she served as the Authority’s Chief Economist.

Many congratulations from all at St Hugh’s to Bridget on this achievement.
