Alumna, Judith Portrait awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours

Congratulations to alumna, Judith Portrait who has been awarded an OBE for charitable services in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Judith (Classics, 1965) is a City solicitor specialising in charity law and practice. She was for many years a partner of a large law firm, and in 1995 founded Portrait Solicitors: a boutique practice covering all aspects of charity law and private client work.

She is a trustee of many of the Sainsbury family charities including the Gatsby Charitable Foundation trust. The Foundation was founded by David Sainsbury. It concentrates on projects in technical education, plant science, management development, neuroscience, Africa and more.

Prior to St Hugh’s, Judith was educated at St Paul’s Girls’ School. She qualified as a solicitor in 1972.
