Avril Gilchrist Bruten Award for Creative Writing 2022

Applications for The Avril Gilchrist Bruten Award are now open, with a prize of £250 for the best piece of creative writing entered by either a current undergraduate or graduate student of St Hugh’s College.

The writing categories include: poetry, travel writing, prose fiction, memoir, life writing and drama. Submissions will be judged by the acclaimed author and St Hugh’s alumna Sarah Moss.

The deadline for applications is 12.00pm on Monday 7 February 2022 (Week 4). The winners will be announced at 5.45pm Friday 4 March 2022 (Week 7).
