COVID-19 Guidance

This page is continually updated, please check your emails and this webpage regularly for the latest information.

We are keeping our site COVID-19 mitigations under regular review in the light of the Omicron variant and will update this page if things change for Hilary Term 2022. In the meantime, the following rules apply on the College site:

  • Unless you are exempt, face coverings are now mandatory in all corridors; for in-person teaching; and in the Library, the Chapel, and the Hall except when sitting down to eat.
  • Ventilation in shared indoor spaces is crucial to reducing infection risk: do not close windows in shared spaces or tamper with CO2 monitors.
  • If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have a positive LFD result, you must self-isolate immediately and book a PCR test. Close contacts must follow the latest government guidance, and everyone is urged to continue asymptomatic LFD testing at least twice every week.
  • Anyone who can work remotely should do so, to reduce the number of people on the site and to help keep things safe for those who need to be here. If in doubt, speak to your manager.

The College site will be closed from 20 December 2021 until 4 January 2022 inclusive, and the Early Alert Service will not be available, although the Lodge will continue to be staffed 24/7. During this period, if you develop symptoms, have a positive LFD result, or are notified that you have been a close contact, you should book a PCR test via the NHS. You can also find further information on the University COVID-19 guidance pages, and in the specific guidance on support available over the vacation.
