Dhruv Sarma awarded prestigious Ledingham Prize in Medicine

Many congratulations to St Hugh’s student Dhruv Sarma, who has been awarded the Ledingham Prize.

The honour is given for outstanding performance in Medicine.

Dhruv said: “I’m thrilled to have been awarded the Ledingham Prize in Medicine. Although my interests during clinical school have been broad, I am strongly considering a career in Internal medicine or a related medical specialty. This prize helps confirm this interest, and will likely contribute to the difficult decision of which specialty to pursue in the future.

“To me, this prize reflects the commitment of our tutors at St Hugh’s over the past few months, who have given up their weekends and evenings to ensure that we were well prepared for Finals. It is also a testament to the teamwork and collaborative spirit amongst the finalists at St Hugh’s; over the past six years we have supported each other through the challenges of medical school and developed valuable friendships for the future.”

Congratulations to Dhruv from all at St Hugh’s on this remarkable achievement!
