The St Hugh’s College Advent Carol Service will take place in Maplethorpe Hall on Sunday 26 November 2023, 5pm-6pm. All members of the St Hugh’s community, and their guests, are warmly invited to attend in person or online (booking required).
The service will be a traditional Nine Lessons and Carols led by the Interim College Chaplain, The Reverend Katie Tupling, and the Chapel Choir. The order of service is available here.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served after the service.
Booking information
To book your tickets to attend in person or to join the livestream, please fill in the booking form below. Bookings for in-person tickets close at 10am on Tuesday 21 November, bookings for livestream tickets close at 10am on Friday 24 November. Please note that you can book a maximum of four tickets to attend in person. In-person tickets for the service always ‘sell out’ very quickly, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets for the Advent Carol Service are free, but we ask you to consider making a donation to the College’s Chapel Restoration Fund when you book your ticket. Your support is greatly appreciated. Please note that you do not need a Paypal account to make a donation online when you book your ticket.
Waiting list
If you find that in-person tickets have sold out below, and you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email development.office@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk, including your name, course and matriculation year (if applicable), and the number of tickets you would like (maximum four per booking).
Please also consider signing up to the livestream if you are not able to attend in person.
If you have reserved tickets and are no longer able to attend, please let us know at your earliest opportunity by emailing development.office@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk so that we can offer your tickets to those on our waiting list.
