Student Support and Disability Coordinator

University Grade 7 – £40,501.50-£49,081.50 per annum

inclusive of Oxford University Weighting

37.5 hours per week

St Hugh’s College is seeking to appoint a Student Support and Disability Coordinator to play a central role in ensuring that our students are well supported throughout their time at St Hugh’s. This is a key role, coordinating the implementation of reasonable adjustments and providing advice on disability support in accordance with University and College policy.

Working with the University’s Disability Advisory Service (DAS), you will act as the main point of contact for students who disclose a disability and for those requiring other reasonable adjustments and academic support, ensuring that appropriate adjustments and welfare support are in place and recorded. You will advise students and staff on the support available, disseminate Student Support Plans (SSPs), and help ensure that adjustments are implemented appropriately.

You will be a highly organised and professional individual with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. You will have experience supporting individuals, ideally within an educational or higher education context, and of equality legislation and reasonable adjustments.

You will demonstrate good judgement, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with academic and administrative colleagues. The role requires a high level of written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to manage sensitive situations with care and discretion.
