I am an economist interested in public economics and trying to understand the effects of tax policy on household and corporate behaviour. I am especially interested in tax compliance and enforcement and part of my research investigates how different aspects of a tax system affects the level of compliance and hence the amount of collected tax revenue. Related, my research also looks at multinational firms and how the international structure of the firm provides certain advantages such as for instance greater ability to engage in tax planning, but also other advantages such as greater financial flexibility in times of economic distress.
Before coming to St Hughs I was a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow at Nuffield College, where I joined after completing my PhD at the University of Copenhagen in 2018.
