Professor Andrew Burrows QC appointed to Supreme Court

The College offers its warmest congratulations to Professor Andrew Burrows QC on his appointment to the Supreme Court.

Professor Burrows is an Honorary Fellow of St Hugh’s College, and from 1999 to 2010 he was the Norton Rose Professor of Commercial Law. He is a Fellow of All Souls College.

He served as a Deputy High Court Judge and Recorder on the South-Eastern Circuit, Law Commissioner for England and Wales and President of the Society of Legal Scholars. His previous academic posts include five years as Professor of English Law at University College, London, and eight years as a Fellow at Lady Margaret Hall.
