What is a University?: an introductory talk about the teaching and learning as well as sporting and social activities that take place at universities. This general talk introduces younger students to the idea of the purpose of university study and what life as a student might look like. Age groups: Y3-Y6

‘Discover University & College Life’ Treasure Hunt: this session consists of a tour around the College using a trail map and accompanied by current undergraduates. This activity gives pupils an opportunity to discover different aspects of life as a university student. Some key stops include the library, dining hall, gardens and student accommodation. Some artefacts from St Hugh’s history are also included, enabling pupils to discover more about the College. Age groups: Y1-Y6

Colour the Crest: this brief activity allows students to use their creativity while learning about the history of several different colleges of the University of Oxford. Age groups: Y1-Y6

Design a Poster for your Course: in this workshop, students produce posters about an Oxford course chosen from the University’s prospectus. Students are encouraged to use their imagination and present the subject in original ways, while learning about the different courses available and their contents. Age groups: Y3-Y6
