15/05/16: St Hugh’s does the Oxford Town and Gown 10k

This year, St Hugh’s is organizing a college team to enter the Oxford Town and Gown 10k and it would be fantastic to have as many people involved as possible, from all walks of St Hugh’s life, past and present.

The event takes place on a flat route around the city centre and University Parks, and is organised by Muscular Dystrophy UK. It’s a very scenic route and is open to every type of runner: from the eager athletes to those just beginning to build up their fitness. It’s also several months away and so there is plenty of time to get training. There will be a free brunch in College for all those who run with the team, and team t-shirts.

To enter with us, please go to: https://www.townandgown10k.com/register/
In ‘entry type’ click ‘join a team’ and type ‘St Hugh’s College’ into the box that appears. (n.b. there is also a ‘St Hugh’s’ option that comes up – make sure you don’t click that one!)

Once you have signed up for the run, please let us know by filling in this form: http://goo.gl/forms/lt4BpHvXh6
This will enable us to keep track of who is running with the team to collect numbers for brunch and to order t-shirts. We will ask for a small contribution towards the cost of your t-shirt, which will this year be a lightweight, drywick running top.

Through this event we are also fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK: https://www.justgiving.com/St-Hughs-Town-and-Gown. Participants can also set up their own just giving pages and link it to the team’s on the link above.
