Warmest congratulations to the new Head of the UK Mission to the European Union, Lindsay Croisdale-Appleby CMG (Modern History, 1992)

The College is delighted to see our alumnus, Lindsay Croisdale-Appleby CMG, appointed as the Head of the United Kingdom Mission to the European Union, with responsibility for all of its work in developing the UK’s bilateral relationship with the EU.

Lindsay has pursued a highly successful career since joining the FCO in 1996. Throughout 2020 he served as the Deputy Chief Negotiator in Taskforce Europe. Prior to that he was a Director General in the then Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), focusing on the European Union.

The Principal of St Hugh’s College, the Rt Hon Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC FRSE, has written to Lindsay to extend her congratulations on his appointment, coming as it does at such a critical time.
