All students have access to nearby kitchen facilities, shared with other residents. Students need to bring their own cooking utensils and crockery, but are not permitted to bring any cooking appliances into College. Cooking of any kind in bedrooms (including boiling kettles) is forbidden.

We ask that students respect others and the domestic staff by keeping the kitchen space clean and tidy and by clearing up after all cooking. A general ‘spring clean’ will be carried out at the end of each term, when fridges and freezers will be cleaned and perishables removed. Food waste bins are available for use in the kitchens.

It is particularly important to clear away food waste to avoid attracting pests: leaving food and food residue on surfaces can attract vermin. Anyone finding evidence of pests in the buildings should let the Lodge know straightaway.
