Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on 6th September saw the Fellows’ Garden transformed into Wonderland and brought together the Principal, Fellows, alumni, neighbours and their families. The party followed a matinee performance of Creation Theatre’s fantastic production of ‘Alice’ in the College’s gardens.

Watched over by the Cheshire Cat, guests were treated to a family-friendly afternoon in one of the College’s most beautiful and secluded spaces, and to a selection of wonderful themed treats created by the St Hugh’s kitchens, including miniature macarons, jam tarts and even some spectacular chocolate teapots!  There was face painting for children, as well as giant chess and ‘flamingo’ croquet.
