News of the passing of St Hugh’s Honorary and Emeritus Fellow

It is with great sadness that we have heard of the death of our much loved Honorary & Emeritus Fellow, Lady Susanna Millar on Thursday 1 May at the age of 101.

Lady Susanna came to St Hugh’s in 1981 as Lecturer and Director of Psychological Studies, and was elected to a Senior Research Fellowship in 1987. After retiring from St Hugh’s in 1991, she continued her research in the Department, and published three books, details of which can be found here.

St Hugh’s Principal, Elish Angiolini said, ‘We are all devastated to learn of the news of Susanna’s passing. I have such fond memories of Susanna and her late husband Fergus who were an integral part of St Hugh’s community. She will be greatly missed’

Please contact Amanda Moss at amanda.moss@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk if you would like funeral details and a contact address for her family.
