Congratulations to St Hugh’s Sports Fellow and Professorial Fellow in Commercial Law, Professor Horst Eidenmueller, who secured the silver medal in the Masters Category at the Open German National Ski Mountaineering Championships in Berchtesgaden on 8 February 2026. Competing in the demanding Individual Race, he navigated a technical course comprising approximately 1,500 meters of elevation gain; the route required athletes to complete five ascents and four descents, including two arduous carrying sections (Tragepassagen) where skis must be mounted on backpacks.
