Oxford Alumni Choir performs in St Hugh’s Chapel

We were delighted to welcome the Standish Consort, an Oxford Alumni Choir based in Gloucestershire as part of their residency in Oxford. The choir was set up by Sam Tolley (Zoology, 1987) as part of the OUS Gloucestershire activities, and is directed by Mark Wilson, Stipendiary Countertenor Clerk at Magdalen College and Music Adviser at Pembroke College.

The consort was joined in St Hugh’s College Chapel by alumni and friends for a workshop on Vivaldi Gloria accompanied by organist Bernard West. The lunchtime performance was much enjoyed by all.

If anyone would like to know more about the choir please contact gloucestershire@ousoc.oxon.org

OUS Gloucestershire is one of the largest OUS groups with nearly 4,000 members. They typically organise at least one event a month, which can be anything from the annual Boat Race party to musical events, lectures and visits, or purely social opportunities.
