St Hugh’s Tutorial Fellow inducted as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

Congratulations to St Hugh’s Tutorial Fellow in Experimental Psychology and Professor of Cognitive Science at the University of Oxford, Professor Asifa Majid FBA, who has been inducted as a Fellow to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Washington DC. The honour of being elected a Fellow of AAAS began in 1874 for meritorious contribution to the advancement of science and engineering, and is acknowledged with a certificate and rosette.

Professor Majid has been honoured for her contributions to understanding language, culture, and cognition, especially the relation between language and sensory processing, for contributions to public understanding of science, and for strengthening scientific communities.
