St Hugh’s researchers use AI to recognise and track primate faces
Scientists affiliated with St Hugh's College have contributed to the development of AI-driven software that is capable of tracking the faces of primates like chimpanzees in the wild. 10 million images and video footage were used to train the computer model to identify and track the faces of specific animals, which will be invaluable to researchers, dramatically cutting back on the time required to analyse video footage.
